TUNE YOUR WINDOW

A matter of perspective.

Match the physical display and the distance from your eyes to the center of the screen.

Defaults are for a Pixel 9a. Face tracking measures your eye position with the front camera, so the viewing distance is only used by motion-sensor mode. Assumes a 20:9 display; motion-sensor mode assumes rotation around its center. Fullscreen is required for physical scale. Recalibrate whenever your viewing position changes. Any numbers are accepted, and settings are remembered on this device.

THE COLLECTION
THE EXPERIMENT

Your screen is a window.

The scene is drawn for an eye 30.48 cm in front of a 6.3-inch display. Your phone’s orientation sensor tells us how that window rotates. We adjust the perspective to keep the geometry aligned.

  1. Open on your phone and enter fullscreen.
  2. Hold it straight on, one foot from your eyes, and calibrate.
  3. Keep your head still. Tilt the phone around the center of its screen without moving it sideways.

Or choose Open with face tracking: the front camera finds your right eye, so you can move the phone anywhere and the window stays put. Close your left eye.

This is a single-view perspective illusion, not a stereoscopic display. Try closing one eye for the most convincing effect. Motion sensing needs HTTPS (or localhost); desktop users can drag to preview.
